A Western New York woman is suing Canada Dry on the grounds there is no ginger in its ginger ale.
Julie Fletcher filed the lawsuit in Buffalo court after she bought the soda when her kids got sick, thinking it would help settle their upset stomachs.
When she looked at the listed ingredients they include carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup, citric acid, sodium benzoate, natural flavours and caramel colours, but no ginger.
A similiar lawsuit against Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which produces Canada Dry, was dismissed in June.
The company successfully argued that ginger is used to make the natural flavouring in the pop.
