The Whirlpool Bridge will be closed next month as an overpass is removed.
Officials with the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission say the bridge will be closed from April 1st until May 5th as two miles of the former Robert Moses Parkway is taken out.
The Queenston-Lewiston and Rainbow Bridges will be offering extended hours for NEXUS lanes to help accommodate travelers who would normally take the Whirlpool.
When the Robert Moses Removal Project is finished, the waterfront will be expanded and there will be more access to the Niagara River Gorge.
