The World Health Organization will meet today to determine whether the outbreak of the coronavirus in China is a global health crisis.
Nine people have died from the new viral respiratory illness and there are 450 confirmed cases including one in Washington State.
The outbreak comes on the heels of a new report suggesting vaccination rates among Canadian children are dropping.
Using data from 2017, Canada's public health agency says only 75.8 percent of two year olds received the vaccine for diptheria, whooping cough and tentanus.
The study found around 2.4 percent of two year olds are not vaccinated at all.
Atlantic Canada had the lowest unvaccinated rate at 1.3 per cent, while British Columbia had the highest at 3.9 per cent.
