It is shaping up to be a wild day for weather in Niagara as multiple weather statements are now in effect.
Along with a strong wind warning, Environment Canada has now issued a severe thunderstorm watch warning residents of large hail, heavy rain, and wind gusts up to 100 km/h.
The thunderstorms are expected to move through Niagara by early evening.
Powerful winds could damage buildings, rip down branches, and impact drivers on the road.
Squall watches have also been issued for Lake Ontario and Lake Erie.
