Will Niagara have a white Christmas?
Doug Gilham with the Weather Network tells CKTB probably not.
The official definition of a white Christmas is 2 cm of snow on the ground.
Gilham says while we probably won't have that amount by Tuesday morning we may have a nice dusting of snow.
He says Niagara will get a rain storm starting tonight, but it will be mostly rain until late Friday night when it changes to snow.
Two centimetres of snow is possible overnight Friday, and there is a chance of flurries over the weekend.
He says traveling will be nice over Christmas with no major snow events in the forecast for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Friday marks the first day of winter.
