It looks like Niagara's southern tier will get a repeat of the wet, windy weather residents saw on Halloween night.

Niagara Falls, Welland, Fort Erie are under a wind warning today.

Environment Canada says southwesterly winds are expected to gust up to 100 km/h this afternoon and evening.

The highest wind gusts will be in exposed areas along the Lake Erie shore.

An area from St. Catharines to Grimsby in the north, is under a special weather statement.

The weather office warning winds could gust up to 90 km/h this afternoon in the wake of a sharp cold front blasting across the region.

The winds will veer to the west and slowly ease this evening.
