A light snowfall overnight making for some slick driving conditions this morning, but the plows and sanders are out.
For those of you living in the Southern tier, Niagara Falls, Welland, Fort Erie and Port Colborne, a snowsquall watch is now in effect and road conditions are expected to deteriorate tonight into tomorrow.
Strong southwest winds gusting up to 70 kmh will usher in a much colder air mass and snow squalls may develop off Lake Erie later today.
Some areas could get up to 15 cm of snow.
The weather office warns the winds will cause blowing snow that will significantly reduce visibility.
The snow squalls are expected to continue into tomorrow morning.
The cold air mass heading our way will also cause temperatures across Niagara to plummet this afternoon.
We are looking at windchills overnight into tomorrow in the minus 30 range.
