We are hearing more details from witnesses who watched as an elephant at African Lion Safari injured a trainer.
It happened Friday, as kids lined up to get a ride on the back of one of the giant beasts.
Geoff Jackson tells CTV News he was in line with his wife and sons when they heard "slamming and screaming."
He saw what appeared to be the elephant pick the trainer up and slam him into a wooden structure.
Jackson says everyone began to run to safety and he adds although he wanted to help he quickly realized there was nothing he could do.
There is no word on the condition of the trainer who was taken to a Hamilton hospital with what the theme park has called non life threatening injuries.
