Crisis negotiators and a high angle rescue team were called in to help a woman who climbed the bridge tower in Welland Saturday.
Police were called out to the East Main Bridge Tower Saturday afternoon just before 5 p.m. to reports of a woman in crisis.
NRPS negotiators along with members of ETU High Angle Rescue Team were called in to assist.
At 7 p.m. the woman was successfully secured and safely escorted off the tower.
