Police in St.Catharines have released a description of a sexual assault suspect.
On Friday night between 7:30pm and 11:30 pm, a 36 year old woman was walking in the area of Pelham Road and McKay Street towards the Participark Trail in St. Catharines when she was approached by a man.
She says the man sexually assaulted her.
Officers, the K9 Unit, and Sexual Assault Unit responded to conduct an investigation and extensive search of the area.
The suspect is described as black male, approximately 5'9", unknown accent, with a thin build and a chin strap beard. He was wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and a black baseball hat.
The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of her injuries.
