A group of mayors from Great Lakes communities are joining Premier Kathleen Wynne and others in condemning US President Donald Trump's decision to pull out of the Paris climate-change agreement.
The Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Cities Initiative says Trump's decision is short sighted, ill advised, and not in the best interests of the people of the United States, Canada or the world.
The coalition represents 130 Canadian and U-S mayors and their communities -- more than 17 million people.
Wynne says Trump's rejection of the global agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is appalling, but she's pledging to continue working with US state officials and other leaders to fight climate change.
