Premier Kathleen Wynne says the province plans to help businesses during the transition to a higher minimum wage.
The government just wrapped up nearly two weeks of public consultations on proposed changes to Ontario's labour laws that include raising the minimum wage to 15 dollars an hour.
Several business groups voiced concerns about the wage increase, saying it will happen too fast and cost too much.
Wynne says she wants to help business but also wants to make sure workers are treated fairly and she believes the province is wealthy enough for that to happen.
