Circle August 3rd on your calendar. That's when the Lakeside Park carousel in Port Dalhousie finally opens after a two month opening delay because of high water levels on Lake Ontario.
Lakeside Park visitors can enjoy free rides on the carousel on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. courtesy of the Friends of the Carousel.

Don't be suprised to see soldiers on the Niagara Parkway this weekend.
Hundreds of re-enactors from across North America will be in Niagara for the annual Siege of Fort Erie weekend on August 3 and 4.
It's a chance to experience the thunder and chaos of various battles and skirmishes throughout the weekend at Canada’s largest battle re-enactment and take part in opportunities to tour the Fort and military camps for a first-hand look at life during the war.

The organizors of the Niagara 2021 Canada Summer Games will be celebrating the two year countdown to the opening of the event.
The countdown festivities will be held in conjunction with the official opening of the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta on the civic holiday.
The celebration will run Monday, August 5th from 7 to 10:30 pm at the Craig Swayze Memorial Henley Grandstand on Main Street in Port Dalhousie
There will be fireworks at 9 pm followed by live music.
