Environment Canada issues winter special weather statement for Niagara

Niagara could be in for a taste of winter today.

Environment Canada officials have put out a special weather statement warning of light snow or ice pellets.

All-in-all, the snow is expected to be fairly light, with a couple of centimetres possible.

However, there is a threat of some brief freezing rain which could make untreated surfaces slick.
