The Ontario Energy Board says the province's electricity distributors will reconnecting residential customers who had their power shut off because they're unable to pay their hydro bills.
The O-E-B says they're also required to reconnect the disconnected homes as soon as possible at no charge.
And it says any customers who currently have load limiting devices installed will have those devices uninstalled at no charge for the duration of the disconnection ban.
This follows Wednesday's passage of the Protecting Vulnerable Energy Consumers Act by the legislature.
The O-E-B says about 930 residences are currently disconnected and about three thousand have been fitted with load limiters.
