Man arrested after series of Amazon package thefts in Burlington

Police in Burlington have arrested an alleged package thief.

Police in Burlington have arrested an alleged package thief.

Last week, Halton Regional Police responded to several reports of Amazon packages being scooped from front porches and replaced with empty boxes.

A suspect was caught on security cameras, leading to the arrest of 36 year old Randy Potter.

He's been charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, and one count of failing to comply with probation.

On Monday and Tuesday of last week, Amazon sold over 175 million items during their two day 'Prime Days' sale.
