Niagara Falls will be illuminated in red and white Wednesday night to honour a former Canadian Prime Minister.
The Niagara Falls Illumination Board will be illuminating both the Canadian Horseshoe and American Falls red and white on September 23rd, in memory of John Turner.
Turner served as the 17th Prime Minister of Canada, and was a longtime Cabinet Minister of Pierre Trudeau, including Minister of Justice from 1968 to 1972 and Minister of Finance from 1972 to 1975.
The lighting will commence at 7:30pm, and repeat at each half hour for 15 minutes, up to and including 11:30pm.
Turner died peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday night at the age of 91.
