The DSBN Academy in St. Catharines made sure their doors were locked this afternoon after an unwanted person was found on the property.
Niagara Regional Police say officers responded to the school following a threats complaint.
School personnel discovered a former male student on the property who was unwelcome.
That former student is the subject of an ongoing threat investigation involving current students at the school.
As the school functions as both a secondary and an elementary school, the outside doors are supposed to be locked at all times.
Staff at the Academy double-checked that the doors were locked, and police arrived to apprehend the man.
He was taken into custody without incident.
