COVID-19 testing will be available at 60 pharmacies in Ontario by this Friday.
Premier Doug Ford made the announcement in Huntsville saying that residents without symptoms will be able to book an appointment and get tested at a pharmacy.
Shoppers Drugmart, Rexall, and other independent pharmacies will be offering the testing.
The pharmacy testing is part of the Ford government's fall preparedness plan which also includes a massive flu shot campaign.
Ford says he is pushing for easier testing options saying he is hearing 'crickets' from Health Canada.
He did announce that three hospitals will start offering saliva tests. The hospitals are Women's College, Mount Sinai University Health Network and Toronto Western Hospital.
