At Monday's council meeting, the town formally approved a resolution asking the Minister of Municipal Affairs to activate the Municipal Disaster Recovery Assistance program.

The town only has 120 days from the date of the storm to make the application for funding help.

It's estimated the storm caused over a million dollars in damages.

Fort Erie Mayor Wayne Redekop will join CKTB's Tim Denis at 8:10 a.m.
